Onigiri is a savory comfort food, consisting of small balls or triangles of rice stuffed with assorted fillings wrapped in seaweed. Onigiri has been enjoyed in Japan as a healthy, on the go lunch, or any time snack since over 2000 years ago.
Kenta Asazu is a 3rd generation Japanese restaurateur, born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kenta drew influence growing up with his grandparents in Osaka, Japan, and with his parents in Austin, Texas. He worked a number of positions at Kome Sushi Kitchen under his parent’s mentorship. He hopes to promote health conscious food for discerning folks with everything, but time.
